More information about Lalande de Pomerol AOC - Château du Grand Chambellan

In the glass, the Lalande de Pomerol of Château du Grand Chambellan presents a bright ruby color. If you hold the glass at an angle, you can see a transition of color towards garnet red at the edges. After the first swirl, one can perceive a first-rate balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The nose of this red wine from Bordeaux seduces with notes of sour cherry. If we trace the aromatics further, vanilla, leather and tobacco are added.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and so this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of sour cherry show through. Lalande de Pomerol is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grapes are harvested, they are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Château du Grand Chambellan Lalande de Pomerol

Experience this red wine from France ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to leek soup, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or stuffed peppers.
