Vinification of the 5 Merlot Pla de Bages from Abadal
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Merlot. Only the best grapes were harvested for this wonderfully powerful single-varietal wine from Abadal. The grapes for this red wine from Spain are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to cod with cucumber and mustard vegetables, roast veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or lemon and chilli chicken with bulgur.
