More information about Blaufränkisch Heideboden - Georg Preisinger

The Blaufränkisch Heideboden from Georg Preisinger presents itself with a bright garnet red with violet reflections in the glass, unfolding concentrated dark berry aromas of cassis, raspberries and dark wild berries. Spicy nuances and a hint of herbaceousness complement the bouquet of this wonderful red wine from Burgenland.

This Blaufränkisch from Austria reveals elegant tannins on the palate, is well structured and at the same time a wine full of character with rough edges. Complex flavors of currants are evident on the palate, leading to a long finish with hints of underbrush.

Vinification of the Blaufränkisch Heideboden by Georg Preisinger

The grapes for this Blaufränkisch are hand-picked and selected already in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of 28-30°C in stainless steel tanks, followed by maturation for 18 months in second and third barriques.

Food recommendation for the Georg Preisinger Blaufränkisch Heideboden

Enjoy this dry red wine with game, lamb or goose with strong sauces or with spicy hard cheese.
