The Abadal 3.9 of Abadal from Catalonia offers a dense purple color in the wine glass. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of Abadal 3.9 reveals of mulberries, black currants and morello cherries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging like even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

Clearly, the Abadal 3.9 is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Pla de Bages DO. This Spaniard can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself as extraordinarily complex. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 12 months of aging in oak barrels.
