The Vermentino di Sardegna from the wine-growing region of Sardinia reveals itself in the glass in a brilliant, shimmering light yellow. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from the Old World presents wonderfully youthful and fragrant aromas of honeysuckle, gooseberry, orange blossom and pineapple, rounded off with other fruity nuances.
The Sella & Mosca Vermentino di Sardegna is pleasantly dry for wine enthusiasts. This white wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully crisp and silky. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Sardinia ultimately impresses with a good aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the slate and granite-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Vermentino di Sardegna from Sella & Mosca
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Vermentino. Only flawless grapes were used for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Sella & Mosca. In Sardinia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on slate and granite soils. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Vermentino di Sardegna can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Dining recommendations for the Vermentino di Sardegna from Sella & Mosca
