From the warm Adriatic coast on the Mediterranean Sea to the cool peaks of the Corno Grande and Monte Amaro, almost 3,000 metres above sea level, the Abruzzo region stretches east of Rome. Its thousands of years of history have left a lasting mark on this cultural landscape and numerous traces from different eras.
Abruzzo wine at VINELLO
In recent decades - and to a large extent this is still the case today - mass production of everyday wines has predominated in this Italian wine-growing region. In the meantime, however, numerous winegrowers have dared to take the step of sacrificing high yields and instead focus on quality instead of quantity. VINELLO is supporting these plans and has entered into cooperations with some of these wineries. These include the producers Tenuta Ulisse, Farnese, Cantine San Marzano, Citra Vini and Talamonti. The recommendation of our sommeliers is: try the wonderful wines of these up-and-coming winemakers! Friends of Italian wine culture will certainly include them in their personal culinary programme.
