More information
The barrel-aged Aglianico Campania from the Campania wine-growing region is a bright purple-red in the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Villa Raiano presents aromas of plums, blueberries, black cherries, morello cherries and mulberries, complemented by air-dried ham, firewood and beech smoke. This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the finish, this young wine from the Campania wine-growing region delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of blueberry and blackberry.
Vinification of the Aglianico Campania from Villa Raiano
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Aglianico. Only first-class grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Villa Raiano. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Aglianico Campania is matured for a few months in French oak barrels.
Recommended pairing for the Aglianico Campania from Villa Raiano
