Aglianico del Taburno DOCG - La Rivolta

In the glass, the organically produced Aglianico del Taburno from La Rivolta presents a dense purple-red color. Held at a slight angle, the wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the edges. Swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which can be seen in the stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. This single-varietal Italian wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of blueberries, mulberries, blackberries and blackcurrants. There are also hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.

The La Rivolta Aglianico del Taburno is wonderfully dry for wine lovers. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a premium and single-vineyard wine. This light red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Aglianico del Taburno is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this mature wine from the Campania wine-growing region finally impresses with good length. There are again hints of plum and black cherry.

Vinification of La Rivolta Aglianico del Taburno

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Aglianico. Only flawless grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from La Rivolta. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off. Once the wine is finished, the Aglianico del Taburno is carefully harmonized.

Dining recommendations for La Rivolta Aglianico del Taburno

This organic red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C with goose breast with gingery red cabbage and marjoram, stuffed peppers or roasted veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce.
