Albarino from Lagar de Cervera is a varietal, refreshing and varietal white wine from the Spanish wine region DO Rias Biaxas.
This wine shines in a bright straw yellow with greenish reflections in the glass. The nose reveals a wonderful varietal bouquet. Aromas of ripe apples and pears, juicy apricot and wonderful notes of citrus in the background are revealed. Skillfully, this Spanish white wine occupies the palate with its lively, fresh structure. The acidity is very well integrated into the crisp texture. The pleasantly long finish presents an exotic hint of lychee.
Vinification of the Lagar de Cervera Albarino
The Albarino grapes grow in the vineyards in O Rosal and Cambados (D.O. Rias Baixas).
The grapes are harvested by hand and immediately taken to the Lagar de Cervera winery. There the grapes are selected and de-stemmed. The grapes are then cooled to 10 degrees Celsius and macerated for 10 hours. The grapes are then gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. This wine is aged on its lees until bottling.
