With the Menti Albina Passito comes a first-class dessert wine in the glass. In this it presents a wonderfully bright platinum yellow color. Poured into a dessert wine glass, this dessert wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully fragrant and complex aromas of fig, apricot and dried apricot, rounded off by smoke contributed by aging in wooden barrels.
The Albina Passito can rightly be described as exceptionally fruity and velvety, as it was vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. On the tongue, this balanced dessert wine is characterized by an incredibly dense, velvety, creamy and silky texture. Finally, on the finish, this dessert wine from the Veneto wine region delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of apricot and fig appear. In the finish, mineral notes of the volcanic rock-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Albina Passito by Menti
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Garganega. Only premium grape material was harvested for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Menti. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the pressing house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in concrete and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the elegant Albina Passito is aged for another 12 months in oak barrels.
