Vinification of the Altos de Losada Bierzo from Finca Losada

The powerful Altos de Losada Bierzo from Spain is a single-varietal wine made from the Mencia grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 15 months of maturation in French oak barriques.
