The powerful Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja from the house of Miguel Torres shines with dense ruby red in the glass. At the edge also shows a colored transition to garnet red. In the glass, this red wine from Miguel Torres offers aromas of morello cherries, raisins, prunes, blueberries and blackberries, complemented by gingerbread spice, dark chocolate and vanilla. This dry red wine from Miguel Torres is just right for people who like it absolutely dry. The Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja already comes very close to this, it was pressed with just 1.2 grams of residual sugar. This dense, silky and fleshy red wine presents itself on the palate full of pressure and facets. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. Vinification of the Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja by Miguel Torres

The basis for the powerful Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja from La Rioja are grapes from the Tempranillo grape variety. In La Rioja, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of coarse and less selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Altos Ibéricos Reserva Rioja is aged for another 16 months in French oak barrels.
