In the glass, the Àn 1.5 l Magnum of Anima Negra presents a bright ruby color. With a little lateral position, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet red tone at the edges. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from the Balearic Islands delights with hints of plum jam and blackberry. It is its fruity nature that makes this wine so special.
The Anima Negra Àn 1,5 l Magnum inspires with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this powerful red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the wine-growing region of the Balearic Islands finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of blackberry and plum jam appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Anima Negra Àn 1.5 l Magnum
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully balanced cuvée Àn 1.5 l Magnum of Anima Negra are Callet and Manto Negro grapes. In the Balearic Islands, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. Without question, the Àn 1.5 l Magnum is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Mallorca VT. This Spaniard can be described in the best sense of the word as an Old World wine that presents itself exceptionally complex. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Àn 1.5 l Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and less selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 16 months in oak barriques.
