The Andarin Monastrell Crianza D.O. Yecla of Dominio de Punctum from Murcia presents a dense purple color in the glass. Held at a slight angle, a transition of color toward purple is evident at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. The first nose of the Andarin Monastrell Crianza D.O.. Yecla reveals notes of morello cherry, plum and black cherry. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste and was bottled with only 0.4 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. Through its concise fruit acidity, the Andarin Monastrell Crianza D.O.. Yecla on the palate wonderfully fresh and lively. In the finish, this good storable red wine from the wine-growing region of Murcia finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of morello cherry and plum.

Vinification of the Andarin Monastrell Crianza D.O. Yecla from Dominio de Punctum

The basis for the powerful Andarin Monastrell Crianza D.O.. Yecla from Murcia are grapes from the Monastrell grape variety. In Murcia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sedimentary and weathered rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
