Vinification of the Anniversario 62 Primitivo di Manduria from Cantine San Marzano

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Primitivo. Only flawless grapes were used for this wonderfully powerful single-varietal wine from Cantine San Marzano. The Anniversario 62 Primitivo di Manduria is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The ripening of the grapes for this Primitivo wine is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Apulia, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight, among other things. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. Once the wine is finished, the Anniversario 62 Primitivo di Manduria is carefully harmonized.
