More information
The elegant Valpolicella Superiore from Antiche Terre flows into the glass with a bright color. The first nose of the Valpolicella Superiore reveals notes of black cherries, morello cherries and plums. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Valpolicella Superiore from Antiche Terre starts off wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. This velvety red wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Valpolicella Superiore flatters the palate with a pleasing sensation without lacking freshness. The finish of this red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region, more precisely from Valpolicella, impresses with a remarkable aftertaste.
Vinification of the Valpolicella Superiore from Antiche Terre
This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grape varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months in oak barrels. The ageing in wooden barrels is followed by a long maturation in the bottle, which makes this red wine even more complex.
Dining recommendations for the Valpolicella Superiore from Antiche Terre
This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to boeuf bourguignon, spaghetti with caper and tomato sauce or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
