The Appassimento from Conte di Campiano comes into the glass with an intense ruby red color and crimson highlights. This powerful Negroamaro from Apulia reveals expressive notes of blackberries, blackcurrants and other red and black fruits. Hints of dried fruit such as dates and raisins as well as herbal nuances round off the bouquet of Conte di Campiano's Appassimento.
On the palate, the Conte di Campiano Appassimento starts with an excellent balance of delicate tannins, fine fruit sweetness and a spicy, delicately bitter aroma on the finish.Vinification of the Appassimento from Conte di Campiano
This Appasimento is made from 100% Negroamaro grapes that have undergone the passito process, meaning they were harvested overripe and allowed to concentrate on the vine. Maceration and fermentation then take place.
