The powerful Appassimento Rosso Puglia from Italy is a cuvée made from the Merlot, Nero di Troia and Primitivo grape varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for 12 months in oak barrels. The ageing in barrels is followed by a long period of bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.
