More information
The barrel-aged Arione Barolo from the wine-growing region of Piedmont presents itself in the glass in a dense ruby red. With a slight sideways tilt, the red wine glass reveals a charming brick hue at the edges. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which can be seen in the stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Piedmont enchants with hints of blueberry, mulberry, blackcurrant and blackberry. If we trace the aromas further, cinnamon, gingerbread spice and black tea are added, enhanced by the oak wood influence.
On the palate, the Arione Barolo from Enzo Boglietti starts off wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and dense texture. The finish of this mature red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region is impressive with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of the Enzo Boglietti Arione Barolo
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 30 months of ageing in French oak barrels.
Recommended pairing for the Arione Barolo by Enzo Boglietti
This Italian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with vegetable couscous with beef rissoles, roast veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or ossobuco.
