The Mayer am Pfarrplatz Asia Cuvée is a first-class white wine. In this it offers a wonderfully brilliant, platinum yellow color. This Austrian cuvée presents wonderfully fragrant notes of papaya, guava, physalis and star fruit in the glass. These are joined by hints of black tea, gingerbread spice and cinnamon.
The Mayer am Pfarrplatz Asia Cuvée presents us with an incredibly fruit-driven taste on the tongue, which is of course also due to its residual sweetness flavor profile. Light-footed and multi-layered, this light white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Asia Cuvée reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Vienna finally captivates with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone.
Vinification of the Asia Cuvée from Mayer am Pfarrplatz
The elegant Asia Cuvée from Austria is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Gewürztraminer, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Vienna. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 3 months in 500 l oak barrels.
Food recommendation for Mayer am Pfarrplatz Asia Cuvée
This Austrian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to red onion stuffed with couscous and apricots, cabbage roulades or chickpea curry.
