More information

The Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Spätburgunder Crescentia from Kloster Eberbach is a complex, powerful red wine from one of the best locations in Assmannshausen in the Rheingau.

In the glass this wine shines in a ruby red colour. The bouquet convinces with the characteristic Burgundy nose of fine berry aromas, such as blackberry and forest fruit, as well as fully ripe sour cherries. This is accompanied by intense spicy notes and smoky hints. The aromas of the nose also caress the palate of this German red wine, which shines with a complex, round, balanced structure and a wonderful length.

Vinification of Eberbach Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Spätburgunder Crescentia

The Assmannshausen red wine domain includes, among other things, the Höllenberg vineyard, which is considered one of the best sites for German Pinot Noir and where only Pinot Noir is cultivated.

After the Pinot Noir grapes have been harvested, they are strictly selected in the cellar. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This red wine is rounded off for some time in wooden barrels.
