Bacchus white wine is an ideal, refreshing and fruity companion for sunny days. Numerous German wineries in Franconia, Saale Unstrut, Saxony and the Palatinate create the fully aromatic and flowery summer wine. This is where the grape variety grew up. Cultivated by Peter Morio and Bernhard Husfeld at the Institute for Vine Breeding Geilweilerhof, from a cross between Silvaner, Riesling and Müller Thurgau. Some 39 years later, the new variety was entered in the list of varieties. A success. 2000 hectares of the yellow-green Bacchus grape still stand proudly in Germany's vineyards today. Nowhere else does the grape variety experience such excellent climate and soil conditions as along the German rivers.

Bacchus grapes matured to perfection make light to medium-bodied dry white wines, semi-dry white wines and sweet white wines for social gatherings possible. A floral bouquet with hints of nutmeg, pears, apricots, grapefruit and traces of fine violets, caraway and currant dominate the nose and palate in a charming way.
