The Barbanera family began trading in wine in 1938. Three generations later the brothers Paolo and Marco took over the company, which they finally named after the family in 2007. Today the head office is located at the foot of Mount Cetona in Tuscany.
In addition to wines published under the family name, the house also produces Duca di Saragnano wines. The wines regularly win awards from well-known fairs and critics, most recently for example the Berlin Wine Trophy, from Falstaff or the International Spirit and Wine Competition.
