The Barbera Appassimento from Ricossa in the Italian wine-growing region of DOC Piemonte is a finesse-rich, pure and balanced red wine.
This wine is a magnificent garnet red in the glass. This red wine unfolds its multi-layered bouquet with aromas of berries, vanilla and figs. Vinification of the Ricossa Barbera Appassimento
The grapes for this single-varietal Barbera from Piedmont are harvested by hand and then dried for around four to six weeks. The subsequent maceration takes place over a period of 10 to 12 days in stainless steel tanks. Ageing takes place in barriques for 6 months with a two-month refinement in the bottle.
