Vinification of Barbera D'Asti Runc by Cascina Carlòt
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the grape variety Barbera. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
