The barrel-aged Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l magnum from the Piedmont wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in a dense ruby red. If you tilt the glass slightly, you can see a transition of the wine color towards garnet red at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in church windows at the edge of the glass. The nose of this Brandini red wine reveals all kinds of sour cherries, raspberries and plums. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in large wooden barrels adds further aromas such as liquorice.

This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 0.4 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. The texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety on the palate. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l Magnum is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this mature red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, Barolo DOCG to be precise, is impressive with a remarkable aftertaste.

Vinification of the Brandini Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l Magnum

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Nebbiolo. Only the best grapes were used for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Brandini. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by ageing for several months in oak barrels.

This Italian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with vegetable couscous with beef rissoles, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or braised chicken in red wine.
