More information
The Barolo from Ricossa is a powerful, pure and exquisite red wine from the Italian DOCG Barolo wine-growing region in Piedmont, made from the Nebbiolo grape variety.
In the glass, this wine shines in a beautiful garnet red with ruby highlights. The nose is skillfully captured by a fruity bouquet. A potpourri of red fruits - especially redcurrants, cherries and raspberries - reveals itself. Subtly accompanied by spicy nuances. On the palate, this Italian red wine presents itself with a powerful, concentrated body that is enveloped by pleasant tannins. The good acidity structure gives this wine its backbone. The finish has a wonderful length.
Vinification of Ricossa Barolo
Once the Nebbiolo grapes have arrived in the Ricossa wine cellar, the grapes are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, this single-varietal red wine is matured in wooden barrels for at least 24 months.
