The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Battiferro Morellino di Scansano cuvée from Azienda Il Grillesino are Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grapes. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the Battiferro Morellino di Scansano is matured for several months in French oak barrels.
