More information
Esterházy's Beerenauslese from the Austrian wine-growing region of Burgenland is a classic, elegant and complex sweet wine vinified from the Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc and Scheurebe grape varieties.
In the glass, this wine shines in a strong golden hue with light golden highlights. The nose is taken by a delicate scent of sweet aromas. A multi-layered aroma of dried fruit - especially raisins - is revealed, perfectly accented by floral honey. On the palate, this Austrian dessert wine has a delightfully creamy texture. The elegant play of acidity shows itself dancing and harmonizes wonderfully with the aromas of the nose and the wonderful residual sweetness.
Vinification of the Esterházy Beerenauslese
The grapes for this dessert wine grow in the Rust site in Burgenland. The vines have an age of 25 to 32 years and are rooted in light, sandy soil.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and selected already in the vineyard. As soon as the grapes arrive at the winery, they are immediately pressed. Fermentation then takes place at a constant temperature of 19 degrees Celsius in stainless steel tanks. The aging is also carried out in steel tanks.
Food recommendation for the Beerenauslese from Esterházy
This noble sweet wine is an excellent companion to goose liver and creamy blue cheese. But also to desserts with chocolate this sweet wine is a pleasure.
