More information
The elegant Best of Sauvignon Blanc from Winzerhof Stahl flows into the glass with a bright light yellow color. As you swirl the glass, you can perceive a first-rate balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out on the walls of the glass as watery or syrupy or liqueur-like. To the nose, this Winzerhof Stahl white wine shows all sorts of oranges, grapefruits, roses, pomelo and gooseberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds other aromas like juniper, lovage and green peppers.
The Winzerhof Stahl Best of Sauvignon Blanc presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Balanced and multifaceted, this dense white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Best of Sauvignon Blanc is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Franconia finally thrills with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Best of Sauvignon Blanc of Winzerhof Stahl
The balanced Best of Sauvignon Blanc from Germany is a single varietal wine made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The ripening of the grapes for this wine made from Sauvignon Blanc is influenced by the climate of the growing region to an extent that cannot be denied. In Franconia, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Best of Sauvignon Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
