Bisol in Valdobbiadene

One family name - many generations

Bisol was founded in 1542. Five centuries and 21 generations have written the history of Bisol together. A family that has expressed its love for the land and wine over the centuries.

A little journey through history of the Bisol winery

Sources from the 16th century attest to the presence of the Bisol family in the heart of the Prosecco land. Although the First World War temporarily interrupted Eliseo Bisol's business, thanks to the son Desiderio, Bisol was back in great shape in the mid 1920s.

After the Second World War, Desiderio - nicknamed Jeio - searched the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano for the best plots of land for sale. He held on to his dream of creating wines that capture the unique terroir. He gave his children Antonio, Eliseo, Aurelio and Claudio each a different role in the winery.

Bisol's steep hills of Valdobbiadene

And today Gianluca, son of Antonio, remembers that his grandfather Desiderio and his father always bought the steepest and therefore the most difficult plots to cultivate. But these were perfect for growing Glera grapes.

"This shows how far-sighted they were and how important the quality of the final product was for them". (Gianluca Bisol)

The wine cellar from Bisol

To this day, the Bisol family winery presents itself in all its original details. It is a natural cave carved into the rocky landscape of the Prosecco Superiore heartland. Temperatures are constant between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. A wine cellar that evokes a charm that only history and tradition can exert.

A magical terroir

There is a perfect balance of microclimatic conditions with constant breezes and an ideal temperature range and sunshine position. The Glera grapes feel very comfortable on the steep slopes. However, this also means that every phase of the cultivation and harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand.

The Bisol sparkling wines

Each of Bisol's sparkling wines, such as

  • Cartizze
  • Relio
  • Crede
  • Molera

tells its own story of the terroir, the soil and its aromatic diversity.
