The barrel-aged Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve from the Burgenland wine-growing region presents itself in a bright purple red in the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by the barrel ageing.

The Triebaumer Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with just 1.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Austrian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. This velvety and dense red wine is balanced and complex on the palate. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Burgenland wine-growing region, more precisely from Leithaberg / Neusiedlersee-Hügelland, impresses with a good aftertaste.

Vinification of the Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve from Triebaumer

Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes form the basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve cuvée from Triebaumer. The grapes for the Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve are harvested exclusively by hand at optimum ripeness, without the use of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the elegant Blaufränkisch Cabernet Reserve is matured for several months in oak barrels.
