Bodegas Copaboca is a third generation family operated business in Spanish Valladolid that has been marketing its own wines since 2006. The 160 hectare vineyards are spread out over the D.O. areas Rueda, Ribera del Duero and Cigales. The grapes that become wines, such as the fruity Gorgorito Rosado or Verdejos, grow in gravelly subsoil and chalky alluvium. Copaboca has even received two awards for its vintage 2014 Verdejo – impressive proof that it is possible to produce modern, uncomplicated wines with excellent quality and yet at good prices.
Bodegas Copaboca places great emphasis on sustainable cultivation and the promotion of varietal biodiversity. The winery not only expresses its love for animals (especially birds) on its humorous label – with a quadratic chicken – but also with its membership to Spain’s SEO Birdlife. The Bodegas Copaboca selection also includes vegan wines.
