Winegrowers with passion

The wine village of La Seca in Rueda in the wine-growing region of Castile-Leon can be described as the heart of the Rueda region. The oldest vineyards can be found here in the typical soil, covered with large boulders of gravel, on calcareous clay underground.

A family-run vineyard

The Escudero family has been closely linked to viticulture for several generations. They are passionate winegrowers and have always believed in their land, their vineyards and their own grapes. Pedro Escudero has spent much of his life in his "Pago de Fuente Elvira", pruning vines, working the soil and harvesting the fruits of his labor.

The dream of the own winery come true

In 2002, together with his wife Paula, he decided to found his own winery and bottle his own wine brands. Today the Escuderos own 110 hectares of vineyards, some 40 to 50 years old, on this special terroir. The ultra-modern, temperature-controlled winery was created, where the grapes are processed today.

With this decision Pedro already thought about the future and the next generation with his children Pablo, Diego and María. In the meantime, they have become involved in the Pedro Escudero winery and produce excellent Spanish wines.

The love for Verdejo

The regularly very well rated wines of this aspiring winery are typical, excellent fresh herbs Verdejos with slightly exotic fruit from stainless steel tank aging, which were produced from the vine to bottling basically in their own winery.
