Over 130 years of tradition
Since its beginnings in 1883, Bodega Trapiche has received worldwide recognition for its relentless pursuit of innovation. An understanding of the land as our most valuable asset, combined with cutting-edge technology, have made Bodega Trapiche a winery that constantly challenges what is supposedly known.
The winery pioneered innovations such as the introduction of French grape varieties and the use of French oak barrels.
Relentless determination to achieve the highest standards in the world of winemaking has led Trapiche to be recognized on countless occasions around the world. In 2016, Bodega Trapiche was named the most awarded Argentine winery in the world by the World Association of Wine Writers and Wine Journalists.
From the beginning, Bodega Trapiche has embraced new challenges. Their drive to explore has led the winery to find unique, remote locations to grow grapes. This is true not only in Mendoza, which is full of areas with excellent conditions, but also in Chapadmalal, a place that realized Trapiche's pioneering spirit in the first wines with oceanic influence.
The biodynamic practices stand out as the purest forms of organic farming, aimed at preserving the natural characteristics of the vines. The use of chemicals is completely abandoned. This principle serves to maintain the balance of the ecosystem and biodiversity.
