More information

The Bodensee Spätburgunder from Weingut Markgraf von Baden in Baden presents a brilliant, light red color in the glass. This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of morello cherries, plums, prunes and black cherries in the glass. These are joined by hints of vanilla, black tea and cocoa bean.

The Weingut Markgraf von Baden Bodensee Pinot Noir presents itself to the wine drinker wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Bodensee Spätburgunder presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Baden finally captivates with good reverberation.

Vinification of the Bodensee Spätburgunder from winery Markgraf von Baden

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Pinot Noir. Only immaculate grapes were harvested for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Weingut Markgraf von Baden. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the winery Markgraf von Baden Lake Constance Pinot Noir

This German red wine is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper and tomato sauce, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
