Bon Courage

In the Robertson Valley, 150 km from Cape Town, high quality wine has been produced by the Bruwer family since 1927. The estate is run by father André and son Jacques, who is also the cellar master.

Both have studied at the renowned Elsenburg Agricultural School in Stellenbosch and apply this knowledge for the benefit of the wine of the region.

Three rivers that flow through the estate's lands have washed up a wide variety of soils, allowing for a great variety of grape varieties and characteristics. The days here are long and sunny, the nights cool and foggy due to winds from the Indian Ocean. Low rainfall in summer also makes it possible to keep the use of pesticides to a minimum. In order to preserve the subtle aromas of the grapes, harvesting is done exclusively at night.
