More information
The powerful Bordeaux Rouge from Chateau Faizeau shimmers into the glass with dense purple. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. This French cuvée shows wonderfully fragrant and complex notes of blueberries, mangos, guavas and papayas in the glass. These are joined by hints of oak, lovage and green peppers.
On the palate, Chateau Faizeau's Bordeaux Rouge opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an immensely velvety texture. The finale of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux, more precisely from Montagne Saint-Émilion, finally convinces with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Bordeaux Rouge from Chateau Faizeau
The powerful Bordeaux Rouge from France is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The berries for this red wine from France are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimal ripeness. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Bordeaux Rouge is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
