The hinterland of Veneto, where the region borders on Friuli, is the home of the Bosco del Merlo winery. This area is characterised by a well-known and ancient wine-growing tradition and oenology. The reason for this lies in the natural conditions. The Pre-Alps in the north, the Adriatic Sea in the south-east and the neighbourhood of the mighty Dolomites create an airy and moderate microclimate. In combination with the carbonate heavy loamy soils, this provides excellent conditions for the cultivation of vines.

Family cohesion

Valentino Paladin, the founder of the Bosco del Merlo winery, was well aware of these conditions when he founded the company in 1962. The traditional company was given new ideas and youthful freshness by the founder's children, Lucia, Roberto and Carlo Paladin.
