The Brandhof Pinot Gris from the Alsace wine-growing region offers a bright golden yellow color in the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Domaine Gresser offers aromas of acacia and dried apricot, complemented by mineral, honey and smoky. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully melting. Finally, on the finish, this youthful white wine from the Alsace wine region delights with considerable length. Again, hints of dried apricot and acacia appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Domaine Gresser Brandhof Pinot Gris
The basis for the balanced Brandhof Pinot Gris from Alsace are grapes from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. In Alsace, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. The grapes for this white wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the grapes are harvested, they are taken by the fastest route to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Brandhof Pinot Gris can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
