The Bree Chardonnay from the wine-growing region Languedoc offers itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering golden yellow. With a little time in the glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of guava, pomelo, grapefruit and physalis, rounded off by other fruity nuances.
This white wine from Germany also fully ensnares the palate. The reason for this is, among other things, a discreet residual sweetness of 11.6 grams per liter, which makes the Bree Chardonnay particularly light. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine presents itself wonderfully light. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Bree Chardonnay flatters with a soft palate feeling, without lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally convinces with beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Bree Chardonnay
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Chardonnay. Only impeccable grape material was brought in for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Peter Mertes. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles. Once the wine is finished, the Bree Chardonnay is carefully harmonized.
Food recommendation for the Bree Chardonnay
This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to vegetable salad with beetroot, fruity endive salad or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
