Vinification of the Brezza Umbria Rosso IGT Fattoria del Pometo by Lungarotti
This tasty red wine is made from Sangiovese and a little Merlot, the grapes grow on medium-heavy, clayey, deep soils in the Fattoria del Pometo, one of the Lungarotti family's vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand between September and October. Fermentation is carried out with short maceration on the skins, with the skins being intensively stirred daily and the marc quickly removed after 8 to 10 days. The wine is then matured in stainless steel.
Sangiovese is the most common grape variety in central Italy and Umbria and is suitable for great wines as well as for fresh, young, very pleasant and easy-to-drink wines.
