More information
In the glass, the Bricco Boschis Barolo by Cavallotto reveals a dense ruby red color. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in strong stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. With a little time in the glass, this red wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of damson plum, plum, black cherry and morello cherry, rounded off by sun-warmed rocks, cinnamon and gingerbread spice, which are contributed by the ageing in wooden barrels.
The Cavallotto Bricco Boschis Barolo impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine from the Icon wine segment, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. There are again hints of plum and black cherry.
Vinification of the Bricco Boschis Barolo from Cavallotto
The powerful Bricco Boschis Barolo from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. Bricco Boschis Barolo is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the Bricco Boschis Barolo is aged for several months in oak barrels.
