More information
The perlage of this sparkling wine presents itself in the glass very fine bubbly and incredibly consistent. When swirling the glass, this sparkling wine is characterized by a fascinating lightness that makes it dance lively in the glass. This dry sparkling wine from Johann Topf is ideal for purists who prefer to drink bone dry. The Brut Rosé Reserve already comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 5 grams of residual sugar. Light-footed and multi-layered, this crisp and silky sparkling wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Brut Rosé Reserve flatters with a soft palate feeling, without at the same time lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this sparkling wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kamptal, finally thrills with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Brut Rosé Reserve from Johann Topf
The elegant Brut Rosé Reserve from Austria is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Zweigelt grape variety. Brut Rosé Reserve is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Austrian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and gently pressed. The fermentation of the base wines follows. After the cuvée has been put together, further aging follows on the basis of classic bottle fermentation. Subsequently, the Johann Topf Brut Rosé Reserve matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
Food recommendation for the Johann Topf Brut Rosé Reserve
This Austrian is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to spaghetti with yogurt mint pesto, elderflower yogurt ice cream with lemon balm or stir-fried vegetables with fish.
