Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most famous and highest-quality red wines in the world, which is why it is also considered one of the best hybrid wine grape varietals.
The birth of the Cabernet Sauvignon cultivar most probably took place in the French Bordeaux region. From there it went on to conquer the (wine) world. In the meantime, Carbernet Sauvignon is cultivated in vineyards on almost 200,000 hectares worldwide. Today its popularity with vintners in the New World is consistently increasing. In Germany alone, just under 300 hectares - the largest of them in the Palatinate - are cultivated with Cabernet Sauvignon. Find out more about Cabernet Sauvignon Wine
