In the glass, this red wine from Bonterra shows aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and elderberry, complemented by other fruity nuances. This U.S. wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 2 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a premium and estate wine, this North American naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need sugar. This silky red wine is full-bodied and multifaceted on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Cabernet Sauvignon California presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of California finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of black currant and blackberry show.

Vinification of the Bonterra Cabernet Sauvignon California

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon. Only immaculate grapes were harvested for this wonderfully powerful single varietal wine from Bonterra. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Cabernet Sauvignon California is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

Food recommendation for the Cabernet-Sauvignon California from Bonterra

This North American is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
