The powerful Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz from Simonsig glides into the glass with a dense crimson. Ideally poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from South Africa reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant and mulberry, rounded off by vanilla, dark chocolate and cocoa bean, which the ageing in the wooden barrel contributes.
The Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz from Simonsig is the right choice for all connoisseurs who like as little residual sweetness in the wine as possible. However, it is never sparse or brittle. This powerful and dense red wine is powerful and complex on the palate. With its lively fruit acidity, the Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish this storable red wine from the wine-growing region Coastal Region inspires finally with considerable length. There are again hints of mulberry and blackberry.
Vinification of the Simonsig Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz
This powerful red wine from South Africa is made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The grapes for this red wine from South Africa are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation for several months in French oak barriques.
