The Triebaumer Cabernet Sauvignon is a first-class red wine in a crystal-clear glass. There it shows a wonderfully dense, purple-red color. The first nose of the Cabernet Sauvignon presents notes of elderberry. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.

This red wine from Triebaumer is just right for wine drinkers who like it absolutely dry. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 1.3 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety and dense. Thanks to its present fruit acidity, the Cabernet Sauvignon is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Burgenland wine-growing region impresses with good length. There are again hints of elderberry. In the finish, mineral notes from the soils dominated by weathered rock and slate are added.

Vinification of the Triebaumer Cabernet Sauvignon

This powerful red wine from Austria is vinified from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of slate and weathered rock in Burgenland. The grapes for this red wine from Austria are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Cabernet Sauvignon can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

This Austrian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with stuffed peppers, duck breast with sugar snap peas or baked sheep's cheese parcels.
