Carpineto - Quality wine from Tuscany
The passion for wine and the love of Tuscany have been the driving force and motivation of Carpineto since its inception, founded in 1967 by the two entrepreneurs Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo with the aim of producing an internationally recognised Chianti Classico, a revolutionary idea at that time. Their sense for the potential of Tuscany to produce great wines using the most modern technologies and thus to improve the quality of the wines was rewarded by the best results. Carpineto soon became a byword for quality in the international wine world and today exports to more than 70 countries worldwide.
Innovation based on tradition, that is how the work of the Sacchet and Zaccheo families, which is still going on today, can be described. Remaining true to Tuscan tradition and historical values, but open to new ideas. Today, the company is made up of 5 vineyards in the most prestigious wine-growing areas of Tuscany: Chianti Classico, where everything started, Montepulciano, Montalcino and Maremma, producing a wide variety of wines in the most prestigious DOCG's and wines of excellent varietal and varietal structure.
Long ageing of the red wines, which inspires
The wines, which are characterized by their intensity and powerful materiality, reliable and long-lasting quality, convince wine critics and wine connoisseurs, as numerous awards and acknowledgements prove. It is the red wines in particular that inspire the enthusiasm: long ageing, which usually lasts 6 to 12 months longer than specified by the disciplines.
To enjoy the wines of Carpineto means to smell, taste and feel the passion and love for the terroir of Tuscany in all its facets. Travellers, wine lovers and wine connoisseurs can visit the winery in Greve in Chianti and take part in guided tours of vineyards and cellars with explanations and tastings of the top Carpineto wines. In addition to the vineyards, there are olive groves for the production of the finest cold-pressed olive oils and in the Maremma, part of the estate is used for breeding high-quality Tuscan pigs of the Cinta Senese breed.
