Casa Vinicola Carlo Botter
Casa Vinicola Carlo Botter is located in the region of Puglia (Italian Puglia) in the south-eastern part of Italy on the Adriatic coast.
The winegrowing tradition of the Botter family is now almost 100 years old. Founded by Carlo Botter in 1928 in the Italian town of Fossalta di Piave, about 30 km north-east of Venice, wine has been not only a profession but a vocation for three generations.
Once Botter only distributed his wines in barrels and balloon bottles on a regional basis, but the brothers Arnaldo and Enzo, who took over the fatherly business after the Second World War, began bottling the produced wines and selling them outside Italy. In the 1970s and 1980s, Botter was able to expand its position on the European wine market, and in 1990 Botter wines were exported to 25 countries. With dedication and uninterrupted diligence, a small family business developed into one of the most influential and important producers of wines worldwide.
Like the distribution of the wines, the offer and variety of Casa Vinicola Carlo Botter wines grew. Some of the grapes are grown on the family estate in Motta das Livenza near Treviso. The partnerships with selected local producers in the south of Italy also enable the development of new wines.
